August 31, 2014 – I have spent the last two days trying to figure out how to increase the storage of my BBB. Simply inserting the card does not mount it. One can see it as mmcblk###, but there is no way to use the darn thing. I have been researching in online, but there does not seem to be a clear answer. Most of the solutions have to do with the other Operating systems that can be installed on the BBB.
I will have to continue to research this. I did post a question on the BBB forum, but the answer was not intelligible. And it did not go on to say how to mount it on fstab. You would think that either this should not have been a problem (it should recognize it like my zbox does) or that someone would have come up with a solution by now.
I want to add space to have the storage needed to add all of my websites onto the BBB, even the Expression Engine websites and have those sites as /mount under my home directory. That way I can have the sites on the sd card, even if it is removed as it can then be re-mounted if need be should something happen to the BBB’s internal emmc
