Uptime 2

March 13, 2015 – I just checked my original Raspberry Pi and its uptime is 192 days and 22 hours 42 minutes.  It’s almost at 193 days running straight. I never thought this was possible. Especially when I had the unit using a wifi dongle. Unfortunately, the dongle would die and I would loose access to everything on the Pi.  I thought that the Pi itself was flawed. But it turns out it is better to connect via Ethernet cable.

My Beaglebone Black has been running for 186 days, and 22 hours. Almost 187 days! In fact this very blog sits on that same computer!  It’s great to have machine up and running that long. It is good that they don’t consume a lot of power either. I don’t plan on moving them yet as moving will necessitate turning them off. Still, when the time comes, it would be best to put them together in a location where they are not movable.

My new Raspberry Pi hosts my religious “Reflections” blog. And my Zbox hosts my sort of diary. My first Pi just hosts a PHP/MySQL program, the one meant to keep track of student or worker time.

I would like to have some of the other boards out there, but money will be tight for a while so I will have to wait.
