Fotos Website

Screen Shot of my Fots Website

July 31, 2016.  Lately I have been working on my Fotos website, which lives on a Digital Ocean Droplet. I upgrade the Portfolio theme to the Portfolio+ theme which allowed me to change the color of header. I probably could have done this via the WordPress Editor, but this was easier.

This got me to thinking about trying to get better a WordPress in General. I also began thinking about moving some of my Expression Engine websites over to WordPress. Expression Engine is getting expensive, but my real reason is that I have seen people post how the upgrade to EE messed up their website to the point of it not being able to function.  That does scare me. Sometimes I wonder if those who create these newer versions of software know what they are doing. WordPress does not charge, its a free CMS, but its upgrades work. Expression Engine is fee based and may not work.

Back to Portfolio+, I was able to make the Fotos website look better. I changed the header color and the H3, H2, colors too. I did add Jetpack and the Easy Fancybox plugin, but they did not do what they were suppose to do. So I deleted it. I am not sure if it was a compatibility issue or if they just did not work.

I hope to add more photos to the website. I just want to share photographs which I have taken and liked.

Update: This website has been moved and renamed to www.joseriveraphotos.com
