The part came within three days even though it was schedule to arrive four days later.

I first unattached the original monitor screen and then attached the new one. Before I did anything else I turned on the computer to see if I had connected everything alright and to see if the new screen worked. To my surprise, it worked! I was not expecting it too. So I screwed the faceplate, including the two bottom screws. The bottom where the hinge meets the keyboard is still a bit off. I will have to deal with that later. But the monitor repair worked!!I had some quiet time alone, so I proceeded to un-assemble my Acer One. It took some doing. The bottom screws were protected by plastic pieces which I thought were hard fastened. I push and slid my finger on them and they came out. I was then able to easily unscrew the faceplate off. I was then puzzled by the attached wires. I took them apart as per the You Tube video, but it turns out that I did not need to do that. I just had to attach the ribbon cable at the bottom of the screen.

I now have my computer back. And I plan to use it with my amateur radio digital modes. I have already used it for WSPR.

August 9, 2015 – I finally got up the nerve to order a screen replacement for my Acer Aspire One small laptop computer. I went by the part number on …

[7,2,6

post-167","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-computing","category-equipment","category-technology
["GET
